Not all Portraits Need to be Formal

Gone are the days of simply trying to sit in stiff formal poses for a portrait session. Candids can make amazing photos. Children will give you their most genuine smiles when they can also play while having their picture taken. I will be honest, I do like a good mix of some traditional portraits where people look at the camera and some playful fun ones. I try to get both in my sessions. This session took place at Heartland Park. Gracyn did not want to smile for me, so I basically followed her around trying to catch her smiling while she explored and played. And wow!
